Jun 14, 2026"took an unplanned trip to kaikoura on the last day of our trip and decided to try out chiwis since we drove past it. it was the by far the best meal of our whole trip. extremely authentic japanese and korean cuisine that i never expected to get in nz at such reasonable prices. so glad we managed to eat such good food on our last day here! highly recommend this to anyone craving authentic asian food in kaikoura."

Jun 06, 2026"Great café for breakfast! Beautiful location and sitting outside on a sunny day makes it even better. I had an latte and Eggs Benedict with mushrooms – both were absolutely delicious. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Highly recommend if you’re in Kaikoura!"

May 16, 2026"After our whale watching tour, we were looking for some delicious food. Happy we found that at Chiwis cafe! It is mainly a coffee shop I believe, but they have great food options as well. The staff or owner was super lovely, and the drinks were great too. All this with a very reasonable price, can only recommend it."
